Hello and welcome to our dating blog.

 I am Paul and I live in Central England. By way of introduction, let me tell you a few things about myself. But not EVERYTHING! I don’t know you yet

 I am 43 years old, grew up in England and then became a psychiatric nurse, qualifying in 1987 after 3 years training. I married a nurse when I was 23 and that was good for a while. But things can change and we grew apart, wanting different things from our lives. Eventually, we couldn’t make it work anymore and split up in 1998. We did this without too much animosity and agreed without the help of lawyers that our two children who were then aged 6 and 1 should spend their time between our two homes. This has worked well for the kids and us.

 I met Jackie online in 1997. She was in Singapore and we never really expected to meet face-to-face. We just chatted about life and became very close friends. I was still trying to make my marriage work, but Jackie’s was already over.

 When I realised mine couldn’t be saved and my ex and I finally separated, I asked Jackie to come to England for a holiday. I sent lots of proof that I was who I said I was to help alleviate the fears of going to a brand new place to meet a relative stranger and she agreed to come. She arrived in England on 11th March 1998

 The three week holiday worked out well and Jackie stayed (leaving every six months as required by immigration).

 She built a great relationship with my kids who are now 16 and 11 and we married at Gretna Green in 2002.

We started an Internet business (website design and other Internet services) in 1998 as my psychiatric nurse income was not enough for me to cover the bills, that my ex wife used to contribute to, and Jackie could not work legally in the UK at this point. In 2003, the income from that business was sufficient for me to leave my job and concentrate solely on the business.

 A government project fell apart costing us a fortune in 2005 and we ended up closing our business and starting a new one, The Walk In Web Ltd, through which we still offered the same services, but started to shift into the creation of content in the virtual world ‘Second Life’

While money has sometimes been a difficult issue for us, our relationship has remained great and we decided that we should help others to become as happy as we are. The Dating Location website and this blog are our way of doing that.

Well, Paul has explained all about how we met, so I don’t need to cover that. I am Jackie, 39 years old. I grew up in Singapore and did various jobs including working for Singapore International Airlines as a flight stewardess and a few office based positions with other companies.

 When I discovered the Internet, I immediately loved the new way of communicating with people all over the world but, after arriving in England, Paul and I looked at the more serious aspects of the Net and realised that we could make a living from it.

As Paul explained, we want to help other people find happiness. In these busy times, it is not always easy to get out and meet people and the Internet makes it far easier with the various methods available.
